Happy Wednesday! I promise to be back to Corner View next week, but today I have the second-to-last post from our long road trip (please scroll down a bit if you have any interest in the previous posts!). This one includes a few shots of breathtaking Zion National Park...and, finally, of the road home...

Into California

We loved our trip through California's desert to the coast and, finally, the BEACH!

The Grand Canyon

This was not nearly as sad as it looks...Despite the snow, and probably because of it, this little side trip was a great adventure. We laughed at our resolve to get there anyway. Though the weather kept worsening, we had to go on! And to us, on this day, the Grand Canyon felt very intimate.

More Arizona

And more Arizona... approaching a wall of snow clouds, snow in the mountains at Flagstaff, then clearing on through Kingman.

Happy weekend to you! Continuing with a few more photos from our trip, these are from the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona...The logs are actually petrified wood. What a cool site this was!

Home Again

Hello?! I hope you are still there. We are just back from our trip... a beautiful, BIG, six-state, 2500-mile, two-week journey. Oh, we had such a good time! Thanks for your many kind comments on the last post - those were Colorado photos, plus one from Albuquerque (the old motel sign). Here are more from New Mexico, our first stop along the road...update: the two following shots are of hot air balloons at the balloon museum...We spent four very happy days with Grandma and Grandpa, then it was off to Arizona. I'll post photos from there next time!
