I came across these today and I like them together...Uplifting on a spring day, I think. I hope you've had a good one!

Happy Weekend
I hope it's just like this!
Do you love this photo by Sofia, from her gorgeous blog Mokkasin, as much as I do? It defines summer and it's perfect. I hope you have such a happy weekend. And thank you for visiting me this week. Back soon.

Mia's Gorgeous Photos - Linnman Gallery
When I visit Sweden (which I will someday!), I will run to Linnman Gallery...
Mia's exquisitely curated shop and art space. She posted these photos today on facebook and I had to share them. If you live in Sweden, go visit the gallery in Jönköping. Follow Linnman Gallery on facebook here, see their website here, and find lovely Mia at Solid Frog here. Happy happy weekend, all!

Homework with Milk
Eddie does not like homework. But yesterday there were only a few complaints. Perhaps the milk helped.Did any of you like homework? How did you make it more palatable? Or how do you for your children? Any ideas welcome!

Dwell on Lego
Well, happy Friday! Filed under the category "How Did I Miss This?" Dwell recently held a contest: Construct a model of an original mid-century modern home inspired by iconic California mid-century modern architecture...
The MoMo home is by far my favorite. Since we didn't even know enough to submit an entry (which would have been killer for sure), I hope MoMo is one of the top five chosen to to be on display at this year’s Dwell on Design, June 22-24, where a panel of judges will choose the grand prize winner live from the show floor. Fun!
Have a beautiful spring weekend!

Outback Camp
Love the romance of this place. It's so simple...

Mudgee is one man's retreat, a permanent campsite, in western New South Wales, Australia. From Vogue Living May/June 2009. Making the blog rounds for a few years now, but new to me.

Monday Mogensen
Hi and happy Monday. I always feel so lucky when I get a glimpse into a designer's or artist's own home. Bo Bedre recently showed us the home of Danish designer Børge Mogensen, kept by his family as it has been since his death in 1972.

Filled with his own furniture (many are early prototypes), pieces by other contemporaries of his like Kaare Klint and Poul Henningsen, and a great art and sculpture collection, it really is a very beautiful, personal, exciting, well-loved, "un"designed home. It will be sold (or recently has been - I think Bo Bedre's article is from Dec. '11) by his children because their mother and Børge's widow Alice Mogensen has recently died. Thankfully there are these photos, taken by Børge's nephew Mads Mogensen. There are other lovely photos out there too that I will post during the week.
From Bo Bedre, found thanks to Patricia Arquette's Beach Bungalow 8.
All photos by Mads Mogensen.

Saturday
Happy Saturday all. It's been a beautiful, sunny, busy week here, so not much blogging. Random, but I've been thinking a lot about Alexander Calder this week. Probably because Joel pinned a photo of his home, and because our friend commented on the fish Eddie made last summer. So, I've been browsing the Calder Foundation site. I love these archival photos of him and his work...

Have a great weekend!

Happy New Year! Accomplishments and Resolutions
Happy New Year to you! Thank you so much for stopping by here this year - I've loved reading your comments and clicking over to visit you too. I think it was a good year for most of you - true? Are you excited for 2012? Do you make resolutions? I usually do not, but this year have a few in mind. I am looking back on what I accomplished in 2011, using it to inspire the resolutions for the new year to come. So, here we go...
I will spend even more time in 2012 reveling in our outdoors with my husband and son...

I will continue to care for and improve on our home...

I will continue to take care of myself - even better care! In addition to traveling and seeing family, I had a lot of fun training for the half-marathon, so I will set another goal for another race in the fall...
and lastly, though this is a BIG one, I will embrace the budget! I'm typically fighting it, upset that there has to be one, but I hope to approach it as an inspiring challenge this year. I have found, since I started the blog, that posting the things I love here helps me "have" them in some way, and helps curb the desire to go overspend on whatever they are.
Now for some truly, truly random images, mostly from the blogs I read, that inspire my resolutions for 2012.
First let me say I will put this photo on my bathroom mirror...
She is Amanda Ross-- I love this photo of her. Everything about her in this photo, and article, will inspire me.
Next, I'm laughing. I guess I'm planning to do a lot about the bedroom, because I grabbed these four from the inspiration file without hesitation or thought...

Also, I will pay attention to life's good details. I'll focus on the richness of them, the patterns, the textures, add to them, enhance them, take the clutter away from them, really notice them...

And finally, back to nature. It does me wonders to spend much time outside soaking it in. I plan to be in nature a lot this year and hope to share more of it with you...

Again, Happy New Year, thank you, and I'll see you back here next week!
