Printemps
I'm feeling the strong urge to be in Paris, in couture pink (quite apparently) today (ha! I'm just reading that over and it sounds so incredibly pretentious! Well, why not?-we never get citified here, so I can dream once in a while!) ...

Cafe at Angelina from the always lovely Little Brown Pen; No. 5; delicate cherry blossoms in the Chanel and Japan Haute Couture Show; wondering who will have this vintage Hermes rose Birkin; Chanel S/S 2012 ready-to-wear; and A&B Kasha found the sweetest pink Fiat, parked on rue Paul-Louis Courier.

Eddie thought this one was especially fun -- it has a Lego staircase and wall after all. Quite something. I like the high ceilings, the pops of color, and owner's artworks myself...

As seen in New York Magazine, the apartment of artist Melissa Marks, Vincente Caride and their Lego-loving son Archie. The first thing Eddie said when he saw the bedroom was, "I want that!" I like it too.

Beautiful Friday
It's Friday! That was pretty fast. Honestly, where'd it go??
I had lots of fun browsing this week. I want to share a few I liked, such beautiful images and pretty things from my searches...

I hope your weekend is so happy. Thanks very much for visiting me here this first week of the new year!

Happy Weekend
I hope there is peace, happiness and beauty in your weekend!
We will go into the woods to cut our Christmas tree tomorrow. I am so looking forward to it. I found this sublime image on Megan's equally lovely pink o'clock. Photo by Anna Ådén. Thank you for visiting me this week. I'm so happy you did.

Happy Weekend
I hope you'll do something fun. We're off to see my niece in The Nutcracker!
She'll be in this sweet production...

We're looking forward to this guy!
And I just must finish again with this lovely, whimsical illustration (please forgive me, but I love it!)...
Happy December!

Love Her
Happy Friday to you! I've been absorbed in life here lately, so not very present on the blog. I apologize. This morning, though, I found this lovely painting...
at Sotheby's. Love her and wanted to share her here. I'm taken with her sweet confident expression, her swept-back brunette hair, the suggestion of a diaphanous white off-the-shoulder dress, the delicate pink flower, the happy summery light.
I hope June has been beautiful for you so far. We are off for our first camping adventure this weekend and we can't wait. We've been through an adorable kindergarten graduation, and then I went off for a few days to my college 25th reunion. Marvelous time with old friends, and a mini reunion with my sisters in Boston following the college adventures. I'm happy to be home, finally experiencing some warm sunshine here in the mountains. I've been catching up with some of you and I'm overwhelmed with inspiration! Thank you for that. I hope your weekend is great. Thanks so much for visiting.

Blossoms for the Weekend
Happy Friday and weekend to you. I was in need of some Spring blossoms, and these fit the bill beautifully...
Ours will not bloom here until the late May, a long wait. But I've loved seeing them springing up virtually, so please keep them coming! The first photo is from the most recent issue of rue and the second was shot by Ez just the other day. She collected oodles of dogwood boughs and artfully displayed them in her bright, happy home office. See more here at Creature Comforts. Perhaps we'll see some for ourselves in Denver this weekend. I do hope so. Happy rest days to you! Thank you so much for visiting this week.

Little Girl's Room
I love this adorable little girl's room...

It is Catherine Hug's daughter's bedroom. I love it's fun and feminine and soft colors, all the natural wood, those windows (!) letting the light flood in, the cheerful fabrics, that sweet bed with it's apple duvet cover, the storage bench, the rug, the pendant lamp, and the little suitcases for storage. To me, it's all lovely and real and fun. There's even a mobile. And a little string of white holiday lights for a soft glow behind the cozy chair. I do love all of it.

New Follow Monday
Good Monday Morning to you. I spent yesterday deep cleaning my closet, which was completely liberating. I have a few bags for thrift and a very clean closet. After I hang some art (because I can now actually see the bare walls), I will show it to you. It'll be like a normal person's version of The Coveteur, but with bad photos and a serious lack of designer bags or shoes!
While I vacuumed, scrubbed and folded, I had CNN on in the background. The devastation in Japan is astounding. I've put up a link (scroll up to the top right there) to The American Red Cross... see Naomi Ito's sweet little rising illustration? You can click it to donate. Thanks so much.
This past week I began following Carla because she is amazing.
I'll simply link you to Friday's post about Carla's work and you can go browse her beautiful sites on your own.
I also subscribed to the feed for The above-mentioned The Coveteur,
because looking through fabulous closets is just plain fun. Enjoy, and I hope you have a good and generous week.

From The Archives: I Want No Clutter
THIS POST IS ORIGINALLY FROM JANUARY 2009
I'm tired of the clutter. I would like my home to look airy and clean. And well put together would be nice, too. These inspire me...

The spaces above were created by Delson or Sherman Architects.
And find this one here. The photo is taken by the talented Lisa Cohen. P.S I would like the throw blanket please.
