Weekend

Happy weekend to you. I'm a little sick, so this is my plan today... I've been reading a lot of Hemingway lately. This is just the latest. Thanks for visiting this week!

Have you read "The Paris Wife"? Sorry, I'm new to your blog, so I don't know if you have mentioned it. Follow it with "A Movable Feast" and you are sure to be loaded with good Hemingway for quite some time!

Hi Emily- Yes! It's what started this recent reading. Well, Midnight in Paris really started it, then The Paris Wife, then I thought it had been too long since I'd read any Hemingway. Then I read The Sun Also Rises, then A Moveable Feast, and now the stories. I'm so glad you stopped by. Thanks for commenting!

Liza,
Have you ever heard of the Murphy's?
If you loved Midnight in Paris, then you must read about Gerald and Sara Murphy.
Two rich Americans who helped support artists like Hemingway, Fitzgerlad and Picasso. Fitzgerland's "Tender is the Night" portrays them, and some say they created the French Riveria scene!
"Everybody Was So Young" is a great book about them!

Thanks, Emily. I hadn't heard of them. Right up my alley! Have a great weekend!
