Happy Weekend

We've had such a big May here! I hope you've been happily busy, too. I spent many of my May hours putting together a yearbook and a DVD to show and sell at my boy's graduation from Montessori. I had so much fun! And they were well-received, thankfully. Oh, how we have loved this little school. I cried, of course, when we picked him up after his last day there. I will cry when he goes off to kindergarten in three months, too. They grow so fast, don't they?Well, I'm off to spend this (beautiful) long weekend with my men. Monday is my seventh wedding anniversary! Again, I have that feeling that time is flying.
I hope you are able to enjoy this holiday weekend with family and friends, too. I'll be back Tuesday!

Popping In

Hello! Sorry for being absent... it's been so busy. It will be until the end of May, so posts may be light.I hope all of you are having a beautiful week. I'm off to work on the slide show for my son's Montessori graduation... so cute. I will pop in again when I can. Thanks so much for visiting, and I'm so sorry I'm not visiting each of you as often as I'd like lately!

Turkey and Guitarists

I was smiling this morning as I went through my inspiration folder. I'd saved these prints of gents (officials? nobility?) from an auction in Turkey... To me, there's something so fun, different and original about them. Then I realized that I already have this amazing poster from Maxim Dalton...
Do you see the crazy similarities? Beards, mustaches, arms and guitars, elaborate clothing, colors! Don't they remind you of each other? I'd love to have them all grouped together on one of my walls.

Guitar Lessons poster by Maxim Dalton (and I can't find the Turkish auction anymore... so sorry!)

Loving This Porch...and Kitchen, Bedroom and Pool

Whenever I come back to high (snowy, cold!) country from South Carolina, I have dreams of a low (sunny, balmy!) country home with a porch like this...Doesn't it look comfortable and cool for a hot day? Look at those welcoming chaises. Aaaahhh. These rooms in the home and the pool area are pretty great, too...This home, on John's Island, SC, is the dream retreat of Dutch born empty-nesters Gee and Nico van Vliet. Read more here.
