Corner View: Sweets

Sweet cupcakes for a birthday...My child's 5th birthday is tomorrow. Stop me before I cry...
He will have a celebration of life at his Montessori, and he also brings in treats of his choice for their lunch dessert. He chose cupcakes. I did not make these (the treat must come from a commercial kitchen). They came from batter.
And her photos are so much better:Please enjoy other sweet corner views by visiting the right side bar here.

beautiful second photo by Liz Rakoff of batter.

Helloooooh cupcakes!! Don't worry about the crying..I cry every single year on their B-Days. But maybe it's because I'm such a whiner anyway - but that aside-. In advance: Congratz and have a great day at his Montessori (I wish I could be there to eat some of those yummy cupcakes as well) and at home of course. :-))
And why the last Stroopwafel?? Because you can only ONLY buy them in Holland. So...therefor I must wait another few months :-(

Go ahead. Cry. It is normal and you might as well get get it over with! My only boy reminded me the other day he would be going to college in two and a half years and I bawled, much to his horror, on the way to Chick Filet. It is not a feeling you ever get used to, and it is a great feeling at the same time. Congrats!

I was going to put this on my place to visit the next time I come to Denver, but then I looked at the menu and you have to buy by the dozen. Too bad! They look like Heaven!
