City Weekend

After a lovely Thanksgiving with friends, we headed to Denver for the long weekend. Our place is in this building... It's very hip (we don't really consider ourselves so very hip, which is why I even mention this)...
But we always have such good family time when we're there...
While we were skuuting around in the lower Highlands neighborhood, I found this great shop - Red Door Swingin'. I loved it. She carries a number of indie Denver artists/crafters... and she sells on line, so check it out...We also took a short walk to the Museum of Contemporary Art, where we were treated to a few pieces I wouldn't normally show a 3 1/2-year-old, but he seemed relatively unfazed. Expose them early, I guess. We focused on the building itself and the ninja turtles that were inspiration to one of the artists. Despite dead things, this little jaunt was truly a highlight.
Our drive home went like this...
Not so pretty! But we fared well and were stuck for a shorter time than those heading East, we are sure. Happy to be home after a great weekend!

I loved the pictures and I smiled at the little Cookie Monster. I was not envious of your drive, makes me glad I am on my little island with my bike!!!
