Our Very Snowy Drive to School This Morning!
When you live in a ski town, school is rarely cancelled because of snow. Here are some videos of this morning's drive in. Pick one or all... they're fun!

Saw a Cricket Trailer
Happy Monday to you! This weekend, we were so happy to spend some time in Vail at the Teva Mountain Games, a four-day extravaganza of water and mountain sports, vendors, and outdoor events. While there, we checked out a lot of outdoor gear and, considering our recent camping commitment, we were really excited to see a Cricket Trailer on display...

I think this is very cool. I didn't have my camera (and the place was mobbed) so I found some pictures here at Cricket Trailer's website. Yes, this camper would be great for our family... "a lightweight, environmentally thoughtful camping trailer that is easily towed, stowed, and customized." It has room for four to sleep (including an upper berth... a hit with a five-year-old!), refrigerator, stove, sink, countertop, table, cassette toilet, hand shower, and room for gear. Nice. OK, on the wish-list it goes!
Crickets are the creation of Garrett Finney, an architect, home builder, furniture and outer space habitat designer, consultant to NASA, and really good camping trailer innovator, among many other things.

My New Abby Powell Photos
I'm so pleased... I just received my order from Abby! I've loved her work since I first started following her a year and a half ago. I ordered these three prints from her Etsy shop...

It's hard to believe, but they are even better in person. Thank you, Abby. Until April 9th, Abby is having a contest on her beautiful blog Abby Try Again. You can win a set of bookmarks with her photos on them. Click here to learn about it.

Home Again
Hello?! I hope you are still there. We are just back from our trip... a beautiful, BIG, six-state, 2500-mile, two-week journey. Oh, we had such a good time! Thanks for your many kind comments on the last post - those were Colorado photos, plus one from Albuquerque (the old motel sign). Here are more from New Mexico, our first stop along the road...

update: the two following shots are of hot air balloons at the balloon museum...

We spent four very happy days with Grandma and Grandpa, then it was off to Arizona. I'll post photos from there next time!

300th Post
Oh my. This is my 300th post. Thank you so much for sticking with me or joining me along the way. I love that you visit me here and take time to comment. Thank you. For this 300th, I've decided to revisit some of my own photos I've posted over the past year and a half...

These are my faves both for how they turned out and for the memories they captured. For being a complete amateur, maybe they're not half bad. I'm developing a little bit of a style. It helps that I live in a truly beautiful place. Oh, I sometimes wish for a more sophisticated camera -- that will come one day. Anyhoooooo, I really do thank you for supporting my little place here. I hope to keep you coming back! And I hope you have a beautiful Tuesday.
