I've mentioned before that Legos are big around here. Especially cars. This is Eddie's latest, built with not one speck of help from anyone. I appreciate the subtle sophistication of it.

Weekend Cabin

Yes, I could spend the weekend here. Or longer.

This is the Delta Shelter, a 1,100 ft. weekend cabin in Mazama, WA, designed by these guys. I would like to visit. Thanks to Elisabeth of Black Pearl Press and All Stripes for guiding me to Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects.

Dusk Again

These photos are from my inspiration file... homes looking stunning at dusk, again. This first one was designed by a local architect, Douglas Miller DeChant Architects. I wish the scan of the Winter photo did it justice. I found the Summer shot here, and (bonus!) discovered that the home has a wildflower roof... I also found that the same architect designed the site of Doug's and my wedding reception. Many good memories, of course....

And the home below suits me just perfectly, thank you. I first saw it in a book my lovely husband gave me. It is the Chilmark House by Charles Rose Architects. You must go see more photos of it here.

Fondly Seen and Western Interiors

I'm loving Fondly Seen, Jane Flanagan's Tumblr site. She put up this photo the other day...

I knew I'd seen this photo before, and liked it, so I followed her link to Apartment Therapy and then to Western Interiors on line. It's a magazine I like to buy for inspiration, but I don't have all the issues. Now I know I can get every page of every issue, including the current one, on line. This was one of the memorable, inspirational spreads -- a home in Cabo designed by Kara Mann.
