Corner View :: Daily

Happy Wednesday! This week's corner view topic is daily...And this is what popped into my mind. Of course the smiles on my husband and child's faces also did, but I thought you might like to see something different today. So, these are what I must have every day. The flip flops are, of course, a Summer choice, but I wear them pretty much daily in the warm months. In case you decide you must have any of these, here are some shopping links: Starbucks (do I need to tell you??), Neutrogena Ultra Sheer 85+ Sunblock, Cetaphil, Smith sunglasses, Sonya Dakar Omega 3 Repair Complex maintenance, Yellow Box flip flops.

Please see many other dailies by starting at Jane's place here.

French Door Inspiration

Happy Monday! I'm inspired by French doors today. I loved this image I saw on Lori Langille's Automatism the other day... and it set me on a search...The definition of French Door: A door, usually one of a pair, of light construction with glass panes extending for most of its length. I have just a bit of envy for anyone with these in their home, especially if they lead from the bedroom out to a beautiful garden. So inspiring!

Off To Paint

My husband has been painting our home. I'm off to help him, and here is my inspiration for today's work... Every wall in our home badly needs a fresh coat of paint. The whole interior has been white since we moved in seven plus years ago, which we like, but we're using a creamier, warmer white this time. Very exciting for us... probably not at all noticeable to the rest of the world! Please wish us luck, and let me shout out a big thank you to my saintly husband.

Love My New Flavia Cat

I have to say that I'm really loving my little cat I found on ebay...He arrived today and he's just as I'd hoped he'd be. I am always nervous until I have the object in my hands, but I think this one turned out well!

Ethereal Beds

There's something so ethereal and romantic about the most necessary tropical bedroom feature...There are so many places in the world where mosquito netting helps to save lives, and I feel fortunate NOT to need one, but I'd certainly like one over my Summer bed.

Saw a Cricket Trailer

Happy Monday to you! This weekend, we were so happy to spend some time in Vail at the Teva Mountain Games, a four-day extravaganza of water and mountain sports, vendors, and outdoor events. While there, we checked out a lot of outdoor gear and, considering our recent camping commitment, we were really excited to see a Cricket Trailer on display...I think this is very cool. I didn't have my camera (and the place was mobbed) so I found some pictures here at Cricket Trailer's website. Yes, this camper would be great for our family... "a lightweight, environmentally thoughtful camping trailer that is easily towed, stowed, and customized." It has room for four to sleep (including an upper berth... a hit with a five-year-old!), refrigerator, stove, sink, countertop, table, cassette toilet, hand shower, and room for gear. Nice. OK, on the wish-list it goes!
Crickets are the creation of Garrett Finney, an architect, home builder, furniture and outer space habitat designer, consultant to NASA, and really good camping trailer innovator, among many other things.
