And we tried to tour the 1870s silver mine. But, after about 50 steps into the very dark, very small, damp, cold tunnel, neither the four-year-old nor his claustrophobic mother needed to venture any further. Loved the train, though!

it is really fun. We've done it every year since we've moved here. If you go again - you should stop by the Sopp and Truscott Bakery in Silver Plume - a great little place with delicious food.
